2008

Great Impact
Thanks to corporate support
in 2007, Femmes de Coeur raised over $30,000 for critical needs - from
a
security system for the Center to the establishment of the “Femmes
de Coeur
Mammography Fund,” which has already screened 120 women, over age
40 and
those with family history of breast cancer. This year’s
fundraiser will continue
to fund the Mammography Fund and help furnish a new
patient education and counseling center to meet the growing demand for
behavioral health services that the Health Care Center provides to the
uninsured and the homeless.
- THE ANNUAL EVENT: The 10th annual Sweetheart Affair will
be presented by Femmes de Coeur, a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3), on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Bahia
Shrine Temple in Orlando from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
There will be wonderful food donated by local restaurants, music,
dancing, and a Silent Auction. Our first Sweetheart Affair
was held in February 1999; since then this prestigious event has
provided over $160,000 for the Health Care Center for the Homeless, a
501(c)(3). JOIN US FOR THE EVENING!
- THE UNMET NEED: The award-winning Health Care Center for
the Homeless is facing unprecedented need in serving a growing
population – more and more women and children – here in our own backyard. In 2008, we plan to raise over $40,000 for this extremely worthy cause
for capital projects and the Mammography Fund; and we take great pride
in the fact that our fundraising expenses are extremely low.
